Since study in Class XI is designed to be SELECTIVE in the government’s scheme of education, students of Class X MUST indicate the choice of subjects in Class XI after their Class X Pre Board Examination. For this purpose FORMS will have to be collected from the School when the students come to collect their Report Cards. If Forms are not collected on the prescribed date, it will be presumed that the student will NOT be coming back to the PLUS TWO classes here. The completed forms are to be returned to the Office.
You will have to indicate TWO preferences when choice of subjects is given.
ELIGIBILITY WILL DEPEND ON
A.
Regularity in attendance and work during classes IX-X, as well as good character and discipline.
B.
High academic performance in the Pre-Board Examination and in classes IX & X.
C.
Science Stream: In order to choose Science Stream, a minimum of 75% is essential at the Pre Board Examination with a minimum of 80% to be secured both in Science and Maths.
D.
Commerce Stream: For Commerce Stream a minimum of 70% is essential, and for Commerce with Maths, a minimum of 70% to be secured in Mathematics which is a MUST.
E.
The school offers TWO options in Science, and TWO options in Commerce.
F.
The names of the Xavier Students who are approved for various streams of Class XI will be posted on the School Notice Board.
